Guidelines for
Physical Activity
The American Heart
Association, College of Sports Medicine, and Centers for Disease Control
have all stated that you need 30-40 minutes of moderate intensity
physical activity, "preferably most days." And, if you have
a history of being overweight, it's 60 minutes, "preferably
most days."
For most people, 30
minutes of exercise 3 times a week is a general maintenance program.
However, if you
want to take your personal fitness one step further,
try 30-40 minutes of exercise 4 to 5 times a week. To jump start any
weight loss, you have to push your exercise to 45 minutes and do it
4 to 5 times a week to start. Eventually, you'll be able to scale
back to a maintenance program.
Leslie is here to help you every step of the way! Her clients tell her that one of the greatest benefits of working with her is the positive encouragement and support she provides to help them stay fit. Health Benefits of
